September 19, 2013

With the help of its members, NuVision has donated and delivered 12 iPad minis to Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC). The iPad minis will be used in playrooms and for educational purposes to help explain medical information to patients and their families.
“We are so appreciative of everyone at NuVision Federal Credit Union for their continued generosity,” said Scott Ferguson, MSW, LCSW, Administrator of Family-Centered Care at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. “This meaningful donation of iPad minis will help our Child Life staff bring a new level of educational and developmental support to the patients in our care.”
“We wanted to promote our convenient new Mobile Deposit banking feature in a way that benefited our community,” said L.J. Tarman, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at NuVision. “Our members were happy to know that every time they experienced easier banking, they were also helping a child.”
NuVision Mobile Deposit allows members to use their Android or iPhone to take photos of checks and deposit them electronically using a free mobile app. It’s an easy way to deposit checks safely and securely, anytime and anywhere.
Checks deposited with NuVision’s existing MyDeposit feature, in which members can scan and upload checks using NuVision’s online banking website, were also part of the program.
