Athens, GA - Georgia United Credit Union is excited to announce
Angelina Faria of Duluth, GA, as this year’s $2,500 University of Georgia Scholarship drawing winner. Hundreds of registered UGA students entered Georgia United’s scholarship drawing which was held on September 1. Entries were collected throughout the summer at Georgia United Credit Union’s two Athens branch locations.
Anglina Faria, a sophomore student majoring in Education at UGA, was selected at random from all submitted entries. Georgia United Credit Union is the community credit union that serves the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the University of Georgia. This is the seventh year that Georgia United has offered a scholarship drawing as part of “back to school” activities at UGA.
