Commonwealth Credit Union and“Shred-It” teamed up to sponsor two community-wide opportunities for individuals to shred their
personal confidential documents for FREE on October 18th in Georgetown, KY and on October 25th in Frankfort, KY. The credit union also took this opportunity to work with local law enforcement agencies to educate attendees on protecting themselves from Identity Theft and other forms of fraud and scams. Over 450+ families took advantage of this opportunity! Everyone bringing items to be shredded were encouraged to donate snack items for the BackPack Snack Program in both the Georgetown and Frankfort communities.
