Credit Union Donates Over $9,000 to Children's Hospital

1st MS CU4KidsMeridian, MS  – 1st Mississippi Federal Credit Union, Meridian, Miss. was pleased to present a check for $9,196.17 to the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital.  The Batson, located in Jackson, Miss., is Mississippi’s only children’s hospital. The Batson Children’s Hospital is part of the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), a network of hospitals that provide vital health care services to children, regardless of the family's ability to pay. Credit Unions for Kids™ (CU4Kids) is the program name under which credit unions raise money to support their local CMN hospital. 1st Mississippi FCU raised the contribution in a variety of ways, including an annual fundraising cook-out and raffling off a 50-inch television, as well as a $500 gift card. “Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital has personally touched the lives of our staff members and their children. Without donations, some families would not receive the care their children need.
