Credit Union Awards $1,000 Scholarship

HEATH/NEWARK, Ohio —Hopewell Federal Credit Union announced the winner of its $1000 scholarship. This distinguished honor was awarded to Kathryn Maneely. Kathryn, a recent graduate from Newark Catholic High School, plans to attend The University of Findlay in the fall where she will study pharmacy.
Maneely excels both academically and personally and has created a strong presence in the community. Below are just a few of her accolades.
•She is active! A third grade group leader for Our Savior Lutheran Church and team leader for Read 4/20 at Hebron Elementary School
•She is a leader! Involved in Student Council as the Historian and Key Club
•She is a volunteer! Volunteering for St. Francis de Sales Vacation Bible School, Genesis Hospital and the Newark Public Library
•She is intelligent! Receiving honors as the valedictorian of her graduating class and a member of the National Honor Society
