BookDriveNB 2015FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS - St. Anne’s Credit Union was happy to once again celebrate “Children’s Book Month” in April by taking part in the Massachusetts Credit Union League’s annual book drive.  Run by the Credit Union Community Hope Initiative in conjunction with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless the book drive has been responsible for the collection and distribution of more than 250,000 books since its first year in 2001.  The books all go to a variety of family services agencies throughout the state to benefit thousands of underprivileged children and provide them with a book of their own.  St. Anne’s is proud to be one of over 40 Massachusetts credit unions that participate in the book drive every year.  This year each of St. Anne’s branches contributed to the drive and all together the Credit Union’s employees and members were able to collect over 300 books. Shown in the picture are the two New Bedford Branch Senior Tellers, Diane Steliga and Chelsea Medeiros.
