FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS - Just in time for the beginning of the school year, St. Anne’s Credit Union’s employees held their annual Tools for Schools Drive. Employees from almost every branch and department of the Credit Union participated in the drive and were able to donate nearly 20 backpacks filled with school supplies. Ross R. Upton, St. Anne’s President/CEO, matched the employees’ backpack and supply count for a total of 40 backpacks. Each backpack was packed with supplies for the students, such as notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, and many other things that they will need for the current school year. The coordinators of the backpack drive (Kelly Baldwin, Marketing & CRA Officer, and Kayleigh Holt, Marketing Assistant) went through and organized all of the donated items, so that each backpack contained the same supplies. The 40 backpacks along with 6 boxes and bags full of supplies for the teachers were donated to the Alfred J. Gomes Elementary School in New Bedford.
