For the eighth consecutive year,
Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees and their family members bowled in Capital District Community Gardens’ Garden Bowl. This year’s event was held on Saturday, January 28 at Uncle Sam’s Lanes in Troy, NY. Community Resource’s Wild Things team raised $2,426 to support Community Gardens. The Wild Things won awards for the second highest fundraising team and the second highest fundraiser, Community Resource’s Service Associate, Ryan Yanni.
78 people bowled at the event that raised a record $12,435 — $4,000 more than in 2012 — for Community Gardens’ community gardening, urban landscaping, veggie mobile, produce project and squash hunger programs.
“We’re happy that our team raised $1,000 more than last year and that we played a role in raising a record amount for Capital District Community Gardens,” said Wendy Meola, Director of Marketing.
