th St. Anne’s Credit Union’s Kelly Baldwin (Marketing & CRA Officer) and Kayleigh Holt (Marketing Assistant) brought the Credit Union’s financial literacy program to the sixth grade students at St. Philomena School in Portsmouth, RI. The two Credit Union employees spoke with the students about smart ways to spend, save and donate, and explained the basics of budgeting and creating savings goals. The sixth graders had a lot of great ideas about how to save money and responsible money spending habits that they could employ. Each student was given a Savings Goal sheet to fill out with something they personally were saving for. Once they turned in their Savings Goal each student received a Penny the Pig savings bank to help them jump start their savings!
