Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions held its fourth annual Shred-A-Thon at
Big Sky FCU, and Billings-area residents took advantage of the opportunity, dropping off 7,300 pounds of paper to be shredded. Chapter members said they saw a steady stream of traffic from 9:30 a.m. until they stopped at 2 p.m. While the Shred-A-Thon is free and open to the public, the group does accept donations, and this year the money they collected (plus an additional donation from the chapter) will be used to build a picnic table shelter in the John H. Dover Memorial Park located in the Billings Heights.
