Credit union raises $9,000 for Cancer Network

CSE Federal Credit Union of Lake Charles, LA gave a total of $9,000.00 to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network during the PurpleStride Lake Area 2012 walk.  As the presenting sponsor, this donation consisted of employee fundraising, a monetary sponsorship, along with in kind donations including print ad space and a coffee bar the morning of the walk This year the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network received close to $90,000.00 from the lake area community. With 43 teams and 1,000 participants, this exceeded the lake area goal by $20,000.00. According to PurpleStride’s Event Coordinator, Kristi Remy, “This is by far the largest event thus far.”
