More than 600 high school students got a taste of the financial decisions awaiting them in the “real world” and learned a valuable financial lesson, thanks to Cincinnati Police FCU and their partnership with Cincinnati’s Northwest Local School District. Held at the University of Cincinnati, students walked through the life-sized reality game Finances 101: Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk, created by the Northwest Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League and staffed by credit union volunteers from the area. Each student received a salary, paid bills, made difficult financial decisions, and encountered unexpected financial setbacks and gains. To help students with their next steps after high school they also received a financial education seminar and a tour of the University of Cincinnati’s campus.
