000 members in seven school systems and three community colleges throughout Anne Arundel

Educational Systems Federal Credit Union sponsored the Learning Forward Maryland Annual Dinner Meeting and Awards Program recently held at the Carver Center in Anne Arundel County. The program was attended by over 50 members of the education community and provided an opportunity for educators to network, learn and celebrate professional development. Jay McTighe, an experienced educator and noted author, was the guest speaker for the event.

Learning Forward Maryland is a professional development organization for members of the education community with the mission to build the capacity of leaders to establish and sustain highly effective professional learning. The organization was formerly known as the Maryland Council of Staff Developers, which was established with the help of long-time Educational Systems FCU Board Member, Maurice Erly. He was the Coordinating Supervisor of Staff Development for the Prince George's County Public Schools Board of Education for 25 of his 38-year career.
