Credit Union Holds Free Shred Day

Commonwealth Credit Union, Shred-It, Frankfort City Police and the Franklin County Sheriff Department teamed up to sponsor a community-wide opportunity for individuals to shred their confidential documents for FREE!Over 360 families brought their personal financial documents to be shredded on site by Shred-It.
Not only did they bring items for shredding, our community also supported L.I.F.E.House for Animals (a no euthanasia pet adoption facility dedicated to finding loving homes for pets in need) by packing a vehicle with supplies for the “4 legged” guests. Guest items ranged from beds, toys, treats, food, etc. for the dogs and cats that consider L.I.F.E.House their temporary home until they are adopted by a loving “human” family. Those that attended the event also were generous financially – over $240was collected in monetary donations.
