Grow Financial Federal Credit Union recently participated in The Tampa Chapter of Credit Union’s 9th Annual Credit Union Cruise for Kids Motorcycle Poker Run to benefit local children’s charities. The event was held on Sunday, May 19, with breakfast at Uncle Mike’s Smokehouse Grill and concluded at the Quaker Steak and Lube motorsports themed restaurant in Pinellas Park.
Stops along the way included Harley Davidson of Brandon, Harley Davidson of Tampa and Jim’s Harley-Davidson. At the Quaker Steak and Lube, participants enjoyed a post-race party featuring live music by Stormbringer, prizes, a live auction, and more!
Since its inaugural run in 2004, The Credit Union Cruise for Kids has raised over $350,000 for local children's charities. This year’s fundraising goal was $70,000, with proceeds will benefiting All Children’s Hospital, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and Hernando, Voices For Children, Clothes To Kids, Oasis, The Make a Wish Foundation, The Children’s Home of Tampa, For Every Child Hope Totes, and Metropolitan Ministries.
