Sikorsky Credit Union Recognized for Financial Literacy Efforts in Local Schools
July 9, 2019

STRATFORD, CT – Sikorsky Credit Union was honored by Stratford’s Business Education Support Team (BEST) with a “Best Friends” Award.
The Best Friends award was given to Sikorsky Credit Union due to their continued strong support of financial literacy and other educational activities within the Stratford Public School system.
This year, in addition to a mini grant to Stratford’s BEST, Sikorsky Credit Union made an additional donation to Stratford schools to go towards the purchase of Moonjar kits. Moonjar kits are a hands-on financial craft that teaches kindergarteners how to separate money to save, spend, and share.
“Sikorsky Credit Union is proud to accept this award from Stratford’s BEST,” says Sikorsky Credit Union CEO Vinny Ciambriello. “Over the years, we’ve impacted a generation of Stratford students through grant contributions and support for financial literacy programs. It’s important for young adults to be informed of the financial choices and challenges that await them.”
Sikorsky Credit Union was founded in 1948 and is open to everyone who lives, works, or worships in Fairfield, Hartford, or New Haven counties, with 10 branches located in Bridgeport, Brookfield, Danbury, Milford, Seymour, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull.
